Professional Statement

I am an innovative and enthusiastic teacher currently sharing my passion for the performing arts at Tranby College in Baldivis, Western Australia. With an extensive range of practical knowledge acquired from working professionally in the theatre industry, I enjoy igniting student enthusiasm and creative potential whilst fostering a love of learning and cultivating core life skills such as confidence, empathy, resilience, respect and perseverance.

My classroom practice is based on building and modelling strong, positive, and safe relationships to engage students in their learning, and I routinely adapt my teaching to the needs and interests of students across a range of abilities. I aim to inspire students, promote inquiry, and develop curriculum experiences that link to local and global contexts.
